Little Italy - A true place to discover Italian cuisine in Bangalore

This amazing vegetarian Italian restaurant is located on 100 feet road, Indiranagar. Went here recently again for lunch. And without mentioning, I definitely opted for their buffet. Its just brilliant.

The ambiance of the place is pretty decent. Not too fancy. Simple and nice. They have partial outdoor seating as well as indoor seating. The place is pretty big. They have another floor on top for seating as well which opens when it gets full below. The buffet spread is present when you walk into the restaurant at the entrance. There is a live Pasta counter as well as a live Pizza counter.

The service is amazing. Very courteous and polite staff. Did not have any trouble at all. The staff ensured we had whatever we needed before we could ask them.

The buffet here is a must try. Just delicious. As we took our seats and chose to have the buffet, we were given the option to choose our drink from either Blackcurrant Mocktail, Lemon Iced Tea and a soft drink. We chose the mocktail. It was tasty. Three starters are given. Bruschetta, Cheese Balls and Nachos. Each of them are delicious. Especially the cheese balls. Must have ordered at least three plates of that itself. The Nachos had very less toppings of veggies. Must be increased. Half of it had to be eaten plain. Once we got done with the starters, we went outside to grab our main course. This includes two kinds of soup, salads, Crostini, Pita bread, Nachos and the two live counters of Pasta and Pizza. All the ingredients of both the counters are placed in front of you. The chef will prepare the dish based on how you want and what you want in your dish. There is another staff present there who notes down how you need your dish to be prepeared and then it is served on your table. Completely customized Pizza and Pasta just made my day. Well cooked. Of course, you will be happy as you literally have only the things you love in your dish. The thin crust pizza was yummy. In the pasta, I tried the Spaghetti as well as Penne. Both tasted really good. Finally, it came to the Desserts. They have options like cut fruits, Ice cream, mango cheesecake and a chocolate pastry. They were all really good.

The price is quite reasonable for the amount you can eat and the things they have to offer. A must try definitely for vegetarians and also for the non-vegetarians. I want to give it a 4.5 or even a 5 but the ambiance being too simple and okay-ish makes me stuck at 4/5.

BARBEQUE NATION

This amazing restaurant is located on 100 feet road, Indiranagar. It is right at the end of the road and a bit ahead of 17th Main. I've been here a few times and have always loved it. You will definitely walk out holding your stomach as you would have eaten that much!

The ambiance is pretty good. With so much crowd, they are still maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the place at all times. The place is very big and has two floors. As it is a barbecue restaurant, their tables are designed where a grill is placed which constantly heats your barbecued starters. There is a white flag on each table. Once you are done with the starters, you have to put the flag down which indicates that you are done with the starters.

One of the best service you will find in a restaurant! The staff is very polite, friendly and courteous. They will treat and greet you like a king. The best part is that it has always been consistent whenever you visit the place. Full marks for hospitality. If it happens to be an occasion you are celebrating there, they will join in by bringing a cake to your table! Very thoughtful. Many more restaurants have started doing this but it definitely started off from here.

In the end, this place does come down to its food. Delicious! As people say, it sure is paradise for non-vegetarians. But I would go against anyone who says it is not the place for vegetarians. It is equally worth it. Their vegetarian spread is also amazing. There is a variety of five starters each for vegetarians as well as non vegetarians. This is their highlight. People visit here just for this. It is so delicious that you will forget that there is main course after that as well. The main course also has a good spread. Their desserts are just average. This has made me give the place 4.5 instead of a full 5. You also get a complimentary mocktail along with your food.

The pricing is quite expensive. For the entire experience, it is worth the money for sure. Now, there are lots of barbecue restaurants in the city and the competition has increased quite a lot. Other places turn out to be a tad bit cheaper than this place. A must try for any food lover!

ART OF DELIGHT - great dessert parlour

This amazing dessert parlor is located on Residency Road right next to Nagarjuna near Mayo Hall bus stop. The place is quite new and I have already visited the place quite a few times. In love with it.

The ambiance is really nice. They have outdoor as well as indoor seating available. The outdoor region has a path made over sand, small stones and grass which leads from the entrance to the inside. They have low seats with tables. Very modern and looks really nice. Good lighting as well. Indoor has good sofas and seats. The entire counter has most of the products they serve which is seen, i.e., Ice creams. They have a huge blackboard which is their entire menu. Overall, the ambiance has a classy and elegant feel to it.

The service is good. The staff is friendly and polite. Your order is also served in a couple of minutes.

Coming to their offerings, they serve Ice creams which come under their "Regular", they also have ones which come under "Premium". It is basically single scoop of Ice cream served to you in a glass. They have Sundaes and Desserts as well. In beverages, they serve milkshakes and coffee. They also serve Nachos if you want to eat. The overall menu is really good with a good variety and a lot of offerings. Starting off about the Ice creams, I have tried almost all the flavors. This includes Regular as well as Premium. The ones I loved are Rocher Supreme, Cookies N Cream, Hazel Choco Cream, Mocha Chip, Snickers and a couple more whose names I can't recall! Every flavor is distinct and very rich in taste. Their Sundaes are basically made using these Ice creams. You can do it two ways. What I personally love is that you can get your own sundae made by the staff! Choose one flavor or two different flavors of any Ice cream and then that will be topped with Chocolate powder, Chocolate Sauce, Choco Chips, etc.. The other way is the simple way by choosing one from the menu and that will be made accordingly. Either ways, it is delicious! The portion served is also quite good. One thing left for me to try which I am definitely having in my next visit is their desserts which is served in a jar! They have offerings like Oreo Cookie Mousse, Strawberry Cheese Cake, Nutella Cheese Cake, etc..

The pricing is pretty good for what they offer. Definitely worth the money. A must try!

WINDMILLS CRAFTSWORK

This amazing microbrewery is located deep in the industrial area of Whitefield. Quite hard to locate the place. But once you do, you will never regret it. This place will always hold a special spot in my heart. An amazing experience! Why special? I was invited to be part of the Zomato Foodie Meetup. A get together with so many other amazing foodies from across the city and of course, free food and drinks! Wanted to go here for a really long time but did not get the chance to. But I finally could go.

Once you reach the location, you will see "Windmills Craftworks" written which looks elegant. You need to take the lift and go to the fifth floor where it is actually located in the building. You will be amazed with their ambiance. Very elegant and beautiful. Compared to other microbreweries, this place is more towards the "classy" style. The place is pretty big with couches and tables all across. The bar counter is on one end. The other end houses a Live Jazz theater where various performances happen on certain nights. They also have a British library right next to it. You can just pick up a book to read and enjoy. The place is mostly indoor seating. But, they also have two small balconies where you can just enjoy the view of Whitefield while having an amazing time. We were seated there. The dim yellow lights all across the place just adds to the ambiance. Jazz music was being played.

I need to visit the place again to speak about their service well. As we were part of the Zomato foodie meetup, special attention was given to us. The head of Marketing and promotions of Windmills also came and greeted us. But I'm pretty sure the service would be up to the mark even otherwise.

We were then escorted to have a tour of the microbrewery by the Assistant Brewmaster of the place. This was brilliant indeed. The extensive setup this place has, no other microbrewery even comes close to it. If any place would come a bit close to this, would be Arbor Brewing Company. We were explained all about the process of how craft beer is made and how extensive the process is. Their entire setup is just like how it is in the U.S.

As I am a beer lover, I wouldn't miss this opportunity to try their beers out. The first thing I ordered was their samplers which included five beers called Indian Pale Ale, Stout, Hefeweizen, Golden Ale and Seasonal Ale. Each one was distinct and tasted just brilliant. I loved the Hefeweizen and Golden Ale the most. Went on to have a glass each of these two. I also had a whiskey cocktail called Smoked Barrels. Tasted really nice. Coming to the food, there was a special menu made for us. The Vegetarian starters included Onion Rings, Nachos, Cocktail Samosas, Soy Keema and Matar Seekh Kabab. Loved all of them. Good quantities were served and the taste was just right. The Non Vegetarian starters included Hot Prawns served with bread, Chicken Wings and German Pork Ribs. They loved the Chicken Wings the most. Coming to the mains, I had the Lasagna. It was delicious! There were two more options of a burger and a wrap. But I did not have those and opted for the Lasagna. These were in the vegetarian section. The meat lovers had options like Spicy Flame Grilled Chicken, Grilled Chicken Burger and Herb Spice Salmon. Coming to the desserts, we had three options which included Sticky Toffee Pudding, Bakewell Tart and Sitaphal Cheesecake. After trying all of them out, I actually loved them in this order! The pudding was simply delicious. But it was a bit too much on the toffee and chocolate side where you cannot have much of this. The Tart was perfect and all of us concluded this as the winner among the desserts. I was hesitant to try out the Sitaphal cheesecake as I am not a big fan of Sitaphal. But, surprisingly it was not bad!

I cannot comment about the price as everything was free :P

After this, we came to the unfortunate end of a fabulous night. Met some amazing people. Had delicious food and mouth watering beer. A must try for anyone! Will recommend this and I would definitely visit again soon!
